One year down, a lifetime to go.

Yesterday marked my one-year anniversary of coming to Switzerland, cat in tow, to settle in for the long haul. We celebrated with a fondue of Bon Vaudois and Gruyere cheeses (an unusual combination; the Gruyere is usually mixed with Vacherin for a "half-and-half fondue") and a bottle of garanoir, a very Swiss varietal.

It was nice.

(On second thought, perhaps I should have saved this post title for our one-year wedding anniversary.)
