Being presumptuous.

The first week's easy. It's always the second week of two-week-waiting that gets to me, and that's the one that kicks off today.

Fertility Friend, my new obsession after having recently switched over from the Period Tracker app upon realizing there's no way to get its data off a device in a useable format, not that Dr. I'll-Give-You-a-Referral-If-You-Just-Go-Away cared much about seeing the printouts of my charts, tells me that next Tuesday is the test date, although it also hedges its bets on a positive result by adding "forecasted menses." (A forecast that I would change to: "menses ... plus a stiff drink. Or – why not – drink(s).")

So next Tuesday it will be. And, really, I’m not asking for much – just two pink lines, a viable pregnancy, and, to keep warm and cozy its wished-for, wanted, needed end product, this perfect quilt to remind me of my wandering heart’s true home.

    1. Lucky you, you don't need to worry about it anymore - at least not for a while! (Perhaps .. I'll let you have the first before asking if you're planning a second.)

  3. The second week is always when my body and brain start the nasty mind games and the phantom symptoms appear. I hope you get your wish next Tuesday and I will have everything crossed, you must be exactly two weeks behind me because next Tuesday is my next predicted O day.

    1. Funny! So we'll both be having fun on Tuesday - me peeing on sticks, and you ... okay, I'll leave it at that. And damn those phantom symptoms - they're already appearing. In my imagination.

  4. I hate waiting and I'm with you - the second week is always the worst! I hope it goes by quickly and that you'll see the elusive second pink line very soon!
I love that quilt. If I had more money (and didn't have a dog who chewed on my bedding) I would definitely have a custom quilt made.

    1. It's super, isn't it? I think the Great Lakes one is beautiful, too.
Naughty puppy! Good job he's such a cuddler to make up for the chewing.

  5. I agree. The second week is the worst!! I really hope you get your second line. Sorry about the FF obsession...I know how you feel. I will now be clicking over to update my chart. I'm in the opposite 2WW...waiting to ovulate :)

    1. That one, I can handle! Hope you had fun updating and that it didn't take you as long as it takes me ... I always spend way too much time looking at all the charts, reading all the analyses, all of that!

    2. Yes for sure. I'm much more productive at work when I'm not in the 2WW!

Are you typing too fast? I mean, you never know about that sign ;-)

    3. See what I said to Stephanie below? That's totally the symptom I was talking about!

  6. That quilt is cool. I hope this week goes by quickly for you and I hope the wait will all be forgotten when you get that second pink line on Tuesday. Good luck. Do you have anything planned this week to help keep your mind off of it?

    1. A few things, but the problem is that no matter what's going on, there's always time to think about what might be at the end of the wait!

  7. I switched from Period Tracker to FF back when I first started taking clomid five or so months ago. It's super handy but can quickly develop into an unhealthy obsession! Take it easy and I hope you can find some way to keep your mind off the latter half of your wait. :)

    1. The pregnancy analyser just kicked in today - I put a totally innocuous "symptom" on my chart, one that I wouldn't consider to be a pregnancy sign but rather a normal happening for anybody, but it gave me 13 points for it. So my chances are going up!

  8. Love the quilt! Hope you get to use it soon (like, maybe in 9-ish months or so). The waiting is just plain awful. Fingers crossed for two lines!

Right now, I've started the second week, as we did our transfer today! We'll now on the 28th if it worked... (writing while resting in bed) :-) good luck on Tuesday!! Lets hope for the best!!!
