There is no graceful segue from that, so I won't even try.
If my period had to arrive, at least it had the manners to do so in a timely fashion. As soon as it politely yet insistently made itself known on Monday afternoon, I stepped away from my ICLW duties, hustled over to the corner of the clinic's website where is found the form aptly named "Menstruation announcement," and thusly announced my menstruation. (And to think I thought you guys were the only ones who cared!)
The rendezvous was set for this afternoon, cd3 on the dot. Blood was taken, the transvag invader (thanks, Daryl!) was wielded. Nothing much to report for now, except that both the cheery doctor and I noted something rather dismaying during my paper-sheet-less perch on the stirruped slab:
I really need to shave my legs. Like, really.
And so I'm off to take care of what really must be taken care of in advance of any romantic surprise thermometer-less peestick-free getaway.
Those of you also holidaying this weekend, I wish you the happiest of travels; those of you not, I wish you the simple but true comforts of home; and all of you, I look forward to catching up next week.

Thanks, Elizabeth. ): Enjoy your fertility-free vacation!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteI think somewhere around my fourth or fifth transvag ultrasound, I stopped caring about shaving my legs. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great vacation!
Oh my gosh, I somehow missed the word 'hair' in the title. But you know, I'm glad it wasn't that scenario! would have been funny though, for us I mean ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful holiday!
Have an awesome weekend!
ReplyDeleteI just love to read your blog... They always make me smile, I love your humor :)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely holiday!
ReplyDeleteI never shave my legs per-ultrasound. I pretend it's feminist principle (I'm an ADULT! Adults have hair! ROAR!), but it's actually LAZINESS. Oops.
Well you better shave those legs before your getaway!! Haha, just kidding! I hope you have a great trip and are truly able to relax and have a good time!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to hearing all about your vacation. In the meantime, happy shaving! Shaved legs rank pretty high on my "things that make me happy" list.
ReplyDeleteOh, we are so making this a thing. Forget "wanda" (which, I have to say, ranks right up there with "baby dancing" and "aunt flo" for me--thank you for using neither in this post!). It's transvag invader from now on! Go shave those legs, and have an amazing holiday!
ReplyDeleteSo happy I found your blog. Love it! LOL transvag invader.... if only it made light saber noises!
