Oops. Sorry.

It's the beginning of International Comment Leaving Week, which perfectly and unfortunately coincides with what I would like to think of as my spring break. My parents (without Sali, sniffle) are arriving soon to spend a week in Switzerland with us, which I've been very much looking forward to for a while, and which completely slipped my mind when I signed up for ICLW.

Since I'll be busy being a full-time tourist guide, I won't be able to leave comments for others or to post entries myself. If you're here for ICLW and can forgive this oversight on my part and would like to leave a comment anyway, among my archives, I would be very happy to read and respond to it when I'm back.

If you're here as a new reader, here's a little introduction I prepared last month. What's changed since then? Not too much, really (other than learning – and doing something about – fertility-related thyroid issues). Still here. Still hoping. Et cetera.

Have a great weekend and week that follows, all, and I'll be very much looking forward to catching up on all of your news after this spring break!

PS: If you'd like to follow us along vicariously at home, here's just a little of what I've put on the must-do list:

cruising around the lake on an old steamer.

clambering to the top of the cathedral tower.

gazing at the Alps (weather and snowmelt permitting).

strolling among vineyards tumbling steeply towards the lake.

crossing a gorge on the world's highest suspension footbridge.
(just kidding. my dad would never let me do this (again).)

    1. It is a bit late for a spring break - perhaps pre-summer break is more accurate? In any case, I hope you enjoyed yours too!

  5. Have a lovely holiday with your parents. I really don't fancy that suspension bridge, much prefer to be on solid ground. :)

    1. Thank you for stopping by! And yes, it's so scary - my hands were sweating the whole time I crossed it, and I couldn't let go of the railing, as if that would have saved me had the whole thing collapsed!
