Whether, revisited.

Today is the last day of the month and thus NaBloPoMo draws to a close.

It's been a long but lovely month of daily blogging. I wasn't sure that I would, but apparently, I had a lot to say. And when I look back 31 days, I realize how much saying it – and hearing what you had to say in return, dear bloggie friends – has helped me along this very much unwanted path.

The theme for this month was "Whether," a topic I never touched on since the beginning post. So here it is today: whether. Whether I would do it – NaBloPoMo – again. In a word, yes. In addition to giving me a better understanding of myself and my sorrow (and anger and jealousy and ...) and allowing me to meet and create bonds with you, it helped me to grow as a writer, and it gave me a structure and feeling of accomplishment my days sometimes lack. All of that is good.

I don't believe the path will ever be this straight. But let's all keep marching anyway. Thank you for the pleasure of your company!

  2. It's been a busy week so I've missed reading blogs and just now got caught up on yours. I'd never thought about the implications of a federal maternity leave. Wow. SO frustrating. And so different. And yet I'm sure that happens here in the states quite a bit. I love reading about your experiences being in Switzerland and the challenges of really getting rooted in. So glad you did the daily writing because that's how I came across your blog.

    1. And I'm so glad you came across my blog because that's how I came across yours! Thanks for being here. More Switzerland posts to follow, perhaps on lighter topics!
